Orin Kidd: Pastor of World MissionsReflecting the spirit and intent of our church's overall purpose the aim of the GBF global outreach ministry is the proclamation of God's word to the lost, both locally and globally, and seeing vibrant communities of faith established who, in turn, will (1) celebrate God's presence, (2) demonstrate God's love, (3) live and proclaim God's word, and (4) incorporate and disciple God's people, for the glory of God. With that vision and motivation driving us, three years ago we made a very deliberate commitment to a strategic focused approach to our mission outreach. In other words, we have made a commitment to being proactive in trying to understand the overall reamining task in world missions with the intent of investing ourselves and resources to a portion of that remaining task. The burden the Lord has placed on our hearts is for the remaining unreached/leastevangelized peoples of the world; those peoples who have the least access to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And we are humbled by the thought that the Lord wants to use this local body of believers as an instrument of grace to reach some of them. We long to be a part of seeing people from every tribe, tongue, and nation worshiping the Lord. He is worthy to receive the reward of His sufferings. |
