Purpose of Student Ministry: Christ Follower!

  • To see students PARTICIPATE in being RELATIONAL to peers, parents, and our community.

  • To see students in our COMMUNITY believe and confess Jesus Christ as Lord.

  • To give THANKS in worship and to help students MATURE as followers of Christ.

  • To be fully ENGAGED in rescuing teens from a culture war.

  • Byword - Wednesday Nights - 6:00-6:45pm

Come join the community of students who want answers to what they are reading in the Bible. This event meets at GBF in the youth wing.

    Mentor Groups - Wednesday Nights - 7:00-8:30pm

Come join the community of students who want to find answers to these questions: Who am I? What is my purpose in life? Do I really matter? Students will meet with caring adult mentors that will help answer questions like these.

In the mentoring environments, students will participate in developing their gifts and talents. For example, if a student is gifted in music, they will be part of the worship team. We have many different mentoring groups and more developing. Please come check us out as we start a new course to train up students to become independent in their faith. This event meets at GBF in the youth room 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

    Romans 8:37-39

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor dept, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

    Reach

It all begins with a new life that comes in laying down your life at the foot of the cross. He died for you. You live for Him. It's not always the easiest thing, but God's Word is our map for the journey and He's given us His Spirit as a guide to follow. Our vision is to develop spiritually transformed students through praying, sharing, and caring for the needs of students.

    Connect

As we all do battle against sin, we want youth and young adults to learn that it is possible to live a holy life, in a world of sin. Toghether we can help students answer three questions: Who am I? Do I matter? and How do I fit in? We need to be fully engaged in rescuing this generation by being relational. Our vision is to help students and parents to understand the culture war using small groups and parent life group: www.battlecry.com

    Serve

To develop a service/serving mentality among our students and adults. Attend summer mission trips, Sparrow, student leadership teams, meeting church body needs and other community needs. Our vision is to see students and adults become a joy agent to the community.

    Pray

"God, what is Your will for my life?" is a prayer many of us have prayed numerous times. Prayer is the foundation of this ministry. Our vision is to see students engaged in community prayer, prayer groups, and growing in personal prayer. Once a month we will be having a Worship night to support this vision.
